A custom standard page is a conventional unit used to measure the amount of text for translations. One custom standard page contains 1,800 printed characters. Usually translation agencies apply special-purpose software to count the number of characters contained in text, for example PractiCount. But if you have only few files, you can count the amount of the text on your own. To do this, you need determine the number of characters contained in the source text, and then to calculate the number of custom standard pages.
